2/24: Season Ends for Bollard and Coleman at Regions
The season ended for Josh Bollard and Chavis Coleman at this weekend's Region 6 Tournament. For Coleman, it brings an end to a 3-year run in the varsity lineup where he finishes with 58 career wins, and a pair of District medals, including a Championship won this season.
As a 5th-Place finisher, Bollard will be an alternate for the State Tournament and would be the replacement for one of the Top 4 finishers from the Region if they withdraw from the tournament. If not, his career ends with Bollard amassing 96 victories, a pair of District 2nd Place medals, and a 3rd Place Region medal from last season.

Liberty has to replace several starters and as a result will feature a lot of youngsters in the lineup this season.
The main returners for the Lions are the senior trio of Josh Bollard, Shaun Plaza, and Chavis Coleman. They will be looked to be the team leaders, and are conveniently located down low, in the middle, and up top.
Bollard is the big gun down low. He is coming off a 33-win season, and advanced to Atlantic City after placing 3rd in Region 6 at 113. He gives Liberty a strong veteran presence down low, that will feature a lot of underclassmen, including the sophomore duo of Romeo Willis and Dorian Hill, who both got valuable frosh experience in last season.
Plaza, a 21-bout winner in 2017, is a solid presence in the middle of the lineup, and is joined by fellow returning starters Eric Heitmann and Anthony Capasso, to give Liberty some experience in the middleweights.
Up top, Chavis Coleman will be the anchor in the upperweights. Coleman, the District 22 runner-up at 182 last season, is joined by junior Jordan Gomes as the only returning starters in the upper portion of the lineup.
With a lot of youth, Liberty will be focused on continuing to improve as the season goes on. The duals will be tough, as the numbers are a bit thin in the upperweights, but the team is still looking to top last season's win total, while getting better with experience and setting themselves up for some strong post-season runs.
